The launch of the De Beer Group’s first real group website marks the start of a new structure, in which the competences of the various operating companies are bundled into the offer to the customer.
De Beer Group consists of 6 companies in 5 locations, which until now operated largely autonomously. As a result, customers usually only have dealt with one company and did not benefit from the opportunities offered elsewhere within our group.
“We see that customers are searching for suppliers who are ‘broad’ in their offer, but at the same time our customers are looking for the ‘deep’ knowledge of a specialist. Within its group, De Beer has specialists in a number of different fields. When we bring them together in one project for the customer, great things happen,” explains René de Beer, CEO of the De Beer Group, the new strategy. “In the production of plastic and rubber-like products and in the field of sealings and sanitary products, we have become a very serious player with more than 200 colleagues. This size was completely invisible to most customers.”
With the 2020 acquisitions of De Beer Beoplast GmbH and the activities of DE-Plastik GmbH, we have significantly broadened our portfolio. This enables us to offer customers a total solution: from engineering and prototyping, via mould construction to injection moulding and stamping, through to packaging and branding.
The different locations work on this together. Each location has its individual strengths, but as a group we now offer them together. The customer benefits from the fact that one contact person can act as a coordinator for the customer’s needs. “How we organise it behind the scenes is our challenge, not the customer’s.”
Last year, the names of a number of group companies were also changed, giving a clearer outline of the group:
F.W. Breidenbach GmbH & Co. KG became De Beer Breidenbach GmbH & Co. KG, the new acquisition Beoplast Besgen GmbH became De Beer Beoplast GmbH and Asfra BV was renamed De Beer Innovations BV. “In this way we make clear that these companies are part of our group, without erasing the tradition and history of the individual companies” says René de Beer.
